Would You Sign Up For A Job In The Asbestos Jobs Industry? [ March 11th, 2010 ] Posted in » Health

It was probably up until around 1985 when the asbestos industry - mainly manufacturing and building companies - had been using asbestos liberally. And as a matter of fact, the US Army also had jobs in that area. Well, I was born in the early seventies and as I got old enough to help my father working on our house, we used to cut, saw and trim asbestos sheets almost every day to install them on the outside walls.

But let’s go back to the manufactures and construction companies in the asbestos field; over 1.5 million employees in the USA, to my surprise, are still working in the asbestos production or installation industry.

High in popularity are asbestos abatement jobs and asbestos removal jobs. Probably because more and more homeowners realized that they live in a house that contains asbestos and therefore want to be rather safe than sorry, so they decided to have it removed.

That’s a good thing in a way, considering our overall unemployment rate. However, people who were hired for those jobs are clearly at a higher risk since they are being exposed to the material on daily basis. Therefore, the law requires companies who provide jobs in that field, to install the highest safety standards in order to protect their employees.

But they are still exposing themselves to a great deal of danger, nonetheless. No protection suit or breathing mask can filter out the microscopically small particles that will eventually find their way into the respiratory system. It is common knowledge that asbestos is the cause for disease like mesothelioma and asbestosis.

And that explains the fact that we have quite a few law firms out there, solely offering services tailored to asbestos lawsuits and asbestos settlements. If a person can prove that his asbestos related illness was caused by an unsafe working environment, he will have a good chance of getting compensation money awarded.

A lot of money is involved in mesothelioma class actions; it’s more or less a type of a collective lawsuit. But all the money aside, working with asbestos is always a dangerous task.

So make sure that you are protected to the best you can whenever you have to work with this toxic material. Mesothelioma is a devastating cancer that grows slowly. It has poor prognosis. Therefore, everybody who employs in the asbestos industry is required by law to provide their employees with a safe environment.

The author of this article is a kidney cancer patient. On his website, he writes about cancer related topics like asbestosis info and collects stories such as “asbestos removal jobs

Effective, Long Term Natural Back Pain Cures

by Kim Archer

A great number of people today are suffering from chronic and severe pain in their backs. If your back only hurts once in a while, non-prescription painkillers are OK to take. However if you have chronic back pain, it’s not advisable that you take medication for long term use to treat the problem. Fortunately, there are other options to relieving back pain that are completely natural. A number of these alternatives are founded on the precepts of alternative medicine. Frequently, people suffering from back pain find that they are actually quite effective at providing relief for the long run.

Two of these methods of alternative medicine, acupressure and acupuncture, are applied to particular body parts in order to lessen muscle pain in the back. Either of these procedures has a demonstrated ability to reduce back pain that’s persistent. The practice of acupressure requires that pressure is applied in a specific way to certain areas of the body that are believed to directly impact the way the back is feeling and thus can have the effect of eliminating or reducing pain. The practice of acupuncture requires sticking very thin needles into the body; these needles are specifically designed for this process. The needles utilized in the traditional Chinese practice of acupuncture are carefully positioned to affect certain areas of the human body.

Using these treatments, you will likely have to undergo several sessions in order to get your ongoing back pain in check. Even just one session of acupressure can go a long way towards decreasing pain and you might notice the results right away. However consecutive sessions once per week are important if you’re trying to find long term results.

These aren’t the only options in terms of natural pain relief for backaches. There is a good assortment of herbal remedies that are excellent for healing. A number of these products also have pain relieving abilities to provide you some relief from your discomfort. Moreover, there are quite a few of them which are able to get rid of inflammation or swelling that might be causing your situation. The benefit of these products is that they not only help those who suffer chronic back pain, yet can also be utilized to resolve pain in other parts of the body.

Capsicum patches are another natural pain relieving remedy. You just stick the patch on the area that is in pain and it will release natural pain killers into the affected region. These patches work even if they become wet, and they need not be changed for several days.

It’s easier than you might believe to find natural back pain relief. If you’d like to avoid taking pharmaceutical products to manage your pain, there are many alternatives that you can feel safe and comfortable using instead. Remember to speak to a health care provider before utilizing any of these alternative treatments.

In Depth Infrared Sauna Review

by Jeremy Limbardaw

We are all aware of the long standing popularity of saunas. Sauna treatments are sessions in a little room, where heat is used for health treatment.

There are two standard types , dry saunas where the air is heated to high temperatures and a wet saunas where steam heats the room producing a particularly damp, warm and soothing surroundings. In each instance, the objective is to experience intense sweating and calm along with other foreseeable health benefits.

The difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna is remarkable. An infrared sauna is a tiny immovable room routinely built of natural materials. It can accommodate anywhere from 1-6 people and can have extra features such as music systems and light therapy. Movable infrared saunas are also available. The can be in the shape of a tent for 1 or 2 persons that will enable you to sit upright and read or watch TV while you are delighting your sauna session. Other models will enable you to lie down and relax in a long tent structure.

Both the stationary and the transportable infrared saunas, contain infrared heaters, which produce radiant infrared heat, only without the damaging sides of infrared light that shines from the sun, which is then soaked up right into the body. In some cases it reportedly can penetrate up to 2 inches below the skin’s surface. This differs from conventional saunas, which heat the body indirectly through air or steam.

There are two kinds of infrared heaters on the market today : Both types work at a lower temperature than normal hot air or steam saunas and produce fantastic results.

In our infrared sauna review, we have identified that one of the top types of heaters are built with ceramic emitters. These are concave in shape and don’t resemble the rod-shaped elements that one might find in normal home heating appliances. It is said that ceramic infrared systems can give extraordinary levels of infrared in their heat output. Our infrared sauna review also has discovered that the ceramic elements work fine for heat storage and for manufacturing steady, heat and increased sweat production.

Carbon heaters, in contrast, are not as commonplace as ceramic heaters, but we came across in our infrared sauna review, that they have some great traits too. Carbon heaters are made out of a particularly thin carbon plate or film that’s often enclosed in fiberglass. They’re more flexible and sturdy than ceramic infrared heaters and tend to have the biggest heating surface area among the models available on the market today. They also have great emissions of infrared light.

When looking at the 2 types it is vital to note that ceramic heaters take a few minutes longer to heat up, but they continue to have huge surface areas, low temperatures and emit rays close to far-infrared. Carbon heaters heat fast, also have large surface areas, lower temperature and emit rays close to far-infrared. Your best plan may be to simply try both out and see which one you prefer. Most sellers have straightforward return policies and showrooms will allow you to try them out before a purchase.

The genuine differences between traditional saunas and infrared saunas are extensive. But any infrared sauna review will conclude that these saunas provide a totally different experience. Our infrared sauna review has found that infrared saunas are the more beneficial form of sauna treatment due to its convenience for usage in the home, low pricing, energy efficiency and potential health benefits such as detoxification and increased vitality

How To Build Muscle If You Are A Vegetarian

by Ricardo d Argence

Many people who are considering being vegetarian are worried that they won’t be able to build muscle if they do so. Before we talk about whether or not you can build muscle as a vegetarian, though, let’s talk about what the different types of vegetarianism are.

Vegans won’t eat dairy products or any other products of animals, pesco-vegetarians will consume fish and other dairy products whereas lacto-ovo vegetarians will both consume milk and eat eggs but won’t eat meat. There are a few more sub categories but that is enough detail for the purposes of this article.

Because vegetarians don’t eat things like red meat, they are at lower risk of certain diseases, like hypertension, diabetes, and some types of cancer, as well as heart disease and coronary artery disease.

As you may agree the reasons for changing to be vegetarian are compelling indeed and that is before we even begin to discuss the idealistic side of things such as being less cruel to animals, saving food for starving others, conserving the rainforest, becoming more friendly to the environment and such like.

So, if I am vegetarian how can I get enough protein to pack on muscle mass? The answer to this question very simply is Soy. Soy in reality has higher levels of protein than beef and also contains all eight of the essential amino acids.

You can get soy from easy to get sources like soymilk, textured soy protein and tofu. There are lots of different recipes out there that include soy, so experiment. In addition, beans, seeds, rice, nuts, and legumes are also great protein sources, so one thing you’ll never be short of is protein.

Alright so that is protein dealt with but what about vitamins and minerals, particularly zinc, vitamin D, calcium, iron and vitamin B12? Well, supplements should be taken by vegans for this.

Vitamin B12 is especially a concern because although it’s abundant in dairy products and is therefore not a concern for most vegetarians, it may be a concern for vegans. Meal replacement powders and vitamin and mineral supplements can also help build muscle, but don’t overlook plenty of green leafy vegetables and fruits in addition to the protein sources mentioned to build muscle as a vegetarian.

In short, there are lots of reasons as to why it’s beneficial for you to become a vegetarian, and you won’t have to give up your bodybuilding goals to do so. Of course, as a bodybuilder, you are going to need to plan what you eat, too, but that’s true of people who eat meat as well. With these few pointers in mind, go ahead and engage in bodybuilding as a vegetarian, successfully.

Should You Buy Provillus Or Not

by Terrence Shipley

When first researching Provillus for women I was unsure what it could be. I assumed that it might be a type of medication or possibly something for personal fitness.

I soon discovered that Provillus is used to treat male pattern baldness, caused by the disease Androgenetic Alopecia and was created originally for males. Provillus has been used to help halt hair loss in its steps.

Provillus works by stopping the buildup of dihydrotestosterone, which typically accumulates in the hair follicles and halts further hair growth. Provillus works at the hair follicle level to prevent this buildup. It also has the added benefit of providing the body with extra needed nutrients.

Provillus should be taken daily, with the recommended dosage of two tablets. It has also been reported that scalp stimulation increases the effectiveness of Provillus by increasing the chemical action in the hair follicles. In regards to side effects none have been found scientifically, but it should be noted that some users report stomachache when taken on an empty stomach. The primary reason that no side effects have been found is due to the fact that Provillus is a natural, herbal drug.

It is only recently that Provillus for women was developed. Some women suffer from female pattern baldness (FPB). Provillus helps to maintain healthy hair that is strong. It prevents thinning of hair by increasing the growth rate of hair and keeping the hair follicles in a healthy condition.

It is found that Androgenetic Alopecia is the cause of FPB in 95% of cases. This is the reason why FPB responds to treatment with Provillus.

Provillus comes in both pill and topical solution form. The topical solution contains Minoxodil 5%, along with other minerals, nutrients and elements. Provillus’s production company offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, along with discreet shipping and billing. This way you know that nobody will know about your hair loss problem, because after all it is something that you probably feel a little insecure about.

While baldness in men starts in the temporal area, Provillus for women may be the right remedy because hair loss in women typically occurs through all-over hair thinning, and occasionally in the top and center areas of the head. Alopecia, or hair loss, may also occur as Alopecia Areata, Triangular and Traction Alopecia.

How Long Do Drugs Stay In Your System?

by Allan Tan

People who are going to be tested for drugs often want to know how long do drugs stay in your system. The specific time that a drug stays in someone’s system varies, but there are general timeframes that drugs stay in someone’s system.

The person’s age, weight, and health affect how long drugs stay in your system. The person’s stress level and how much or how often the drug was taken affects how long it is detectable by drug testing.

Psilocybin, known as shrooms or mushrooms, and LSD stay in the system and are detectable by urine tests for about eight hours after use. Drugs that stay in the body an average of two days include methamphetamine, codeine, nicotine, GHB, Ecstasy, heroin, amphetamines, morphine, and opiates.

Hash and marijuana are detectable by urine tests for up to five weeks after use. Benzodiazepines, like Xanax and Valium, can take up to six weeks to completely leave the person’s system.

Alcohol usually stays in the system for six to ten hours. PCP, also known as angel dust, can be in the system for up to eight days. Breathalyzer testing is commonly used by law enforcement to detect alcohol on a person’s breath.

Since a percentage of alcohol consumed is expelled in the breath, this method is accurate and not easily fooled like many myths claim. The only popular myth that has any validity is that mouthwash can affect breathalyzer results. However, mouthwash will raise the alcohol measurement of the breatalyzer test results.

Hair testing is another type of drug test. Most hair tests can indicate which drugs have been consumed in the last ninety days.

Blood tests are another type of drug testing, but they are not often used since they are more expensive. False positives can occur due to some prescription medications.

Prescription medication stays in the system for varying amounts of time depending on the specific medication, dosage, and the individual’s metabolism. The half-life of a prescription drug is used to describe how long it takes for a drug to reach half of the potency of the dosage consumed.
