The Three Distractions that Hold One Back from Achieving the True Martial Art.

There is one thing, and one thing only, that will always stop a martial artist from reaching the True Martial Art. That one thing is called simply…distraction. To the degree that one is not distracted, to that degree he will realize his goals, and to that degree he achieves the True Art.

When one learns the martial arts one learns these training routines called forms. On the surface, the form is a dictionary of applications, of having a curriculum which will teach him higher and higher ranges of art. It is under the surface, however, through the refusal of distractions that one must apply himself in searching for the True Martial Art.

When one can refuse to have his attention wander in the middle of form one is cultivating his discipline. When one focuses only on the moves within the form, and does not allow himself to be sidetracked, then he is building concentration. The end result of these endeavors is to be able to keep awareness in the universe of the form, and not in the universe of trees and bushes and rocks and twigs and such.

The bits and pieces of the form, the technical applications, are the middle ground of refusing distraction. This area, applying technique to a willing opponent, bridges from perfect thought inherent in the form to the perfect idea even in the middle of chaos. When one holds to the physics of combat, holds to his mental concentration, holds to the truths he has learned about his fellow man even in combat, then one is approaching a distraction free existence.

It is in the fact of kumite, however, that one must find his ultimate refusal of the distractions of the real universe. One must devote all his focus on the opponent, refuse the gas and tinklings of a random world, and build the truth of his own awareness. When one lives as if in a tunnel with his opponent, and can hold to the construction of that tunnel no matter the situation, then one has found and is living the True Martial Art.

These three arenas, kata, technique and kumite, are the true gladiatorial property of the True Art. To the extent that one refuses to be distracted, that one becomes pure in the focus of awareness, to this extent one enters the True Martial Art. The real key, to all this, however, lies in the achievement of one singular and important fact.

The universe goes backward. It is not the debris of the universe that offer distraction, it is the knowledge that one must not go towards a distraction free existence with effort, but, rather, but relax so that no distractions can find purchase in the soul. It is the emptiness of the universe, perceived by the individual free of internal strife, that makes up the Path of the True Art.

The Best Tips For Baseball Strength Training Program

Success on the baseball field isn’t something that will happen for a player overnight. Even the best athletes in the sport have spent years working to acheive the success that they know today. With a little hard work and a good baseball strength training program, you, too, can get to that point. If you are just getting started, there a few important training tips you should consider.

Running drills are an excellent way to gain speed as a ballplayer. However, a weight lifting workout should be your primary means of gaining strength. It is important, when selecting a program, to vary the type of weights. For example, you should use a combination of resistance weights, free weights and kettle balls.

If you are new to this type of exercising you need to take it easy at first. The last thing you want is to hurt yourself. Start with some easy exercises. You will get more strength if you exercise a little every day. For working the upper body you should always use lighter weights to avoid injury.

Pressing motions with heavy weights can cause shoulder injuries. To avoid that, try to only use heavy weights when exercising your lower body. Keep in mind, stretching is an important way to prepare your muscles for any strength training program. Many athletes have found yoga techniques work very well for this.

Keep in mind that in the moment you reach for the ball you need to have a lot of core strength. To achieve this you must exercise especially the abdomen and the lower back.

Consistent training is imperative if you want to see great results on the field. Talent alone will not make you a great player. It requires sacrifices and hard work to become one of the best.

Weight Loss Diet-Your Own Diet

Do you deserve to have the body you’ve always wanted? I mean really; you are searching for this because you desire to lose weight and get in shape. You probably are doing an incorrect approach, and you have went through diet after diet with no success. Have you been in the situation in which you only were eating salads, and avoiding any kind of meat because you were worried about your weight? are you sure that’s what you are supposed to do? Let me tell you the actual truth, and why you keep falling into diets that just fail. you need to analyze this. This guide is not to let you down but it will take you to the right way and will support your weight loss goal. Now, let’s get started.

DIET MYTHS YOU ARE STILL FALLING FOR:

*Eating low carbohydrates: Useless, strict and it will make your life miserable. Of course, you will be able to to take off some pounds, but the moment you

*Low Fat: they mainly have some hidden calories in these products. lets get something straight… Low fat fat foods DO NOT equal weight loss (crazy huh?)

*Starvation: this is just crazy, don’t do it. you CANNOT lose weight and stay healthy by starving yourself.

*Pre-package diet programs: Yeah, you have bi zillion of these on TV ads. they cost around 500$ to maintain; that’s pretty much the entire monthly grocery cost. how does this make any sense?

Are you aware that you are eating bad foods? Are you still going to McDonald’s for a quick night snack? Do you eat during the wrong times of a day? Are you eating empty calories while you are watching your favorite show? How about exercise, did you forget to walk the dog again? Notice that i asked you many food related questions…the truth is that dieting is 80% of the battle, and exercising is only 20% (NOTE: Do NOT leave exercise behind it is still important!) The food that you eat will make you lose weight, or gain weight…it’s all up to you.

We’ve been told that by eating our breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday is a common basic thought. However, there is more into that…eating 3 meals a day is NOT healthy for our body. How does 5 meals a day sound?

(NOTE: This does NOT mean that you should go on a feeding frenzy!)

Let’s get it straight, if you eat smaller meals and the right foods, you can actually eat more and lose weight. You have to acknowledge your own body in order to get a better metabolism metabolism. , and create your own weight loss diet pace. Around 70% of the the entire country of the U.S is overweight..that’s 270 MILLION. But the rest of the world is not as different, following with a 60% total population. This number continue growing because people are eating more bad food every day. Most diet’s simply fail because they are burst diets. In a few words, you lose weight but the weight is easily reintroduced. This happens because the weight you have lost is mainly water… Obviously this is not a long term diet you can rely on.

I have tried a product called Strip That Fat, and to be honest is pretty good. They claim that in 7 days you actually feel that you have dropped weight, but it’s actually around 2 weeks…still it is a product that works, and it is not full of lies. I have learned lots of things, being the most important “Eat Fat o Lose Fat” (kind of crazy huh? but it is true…talk to any nutritionist) , and also to avoid sugars and processed foods. some “fats” that you should have are eggs, nuts, almonds, olive oil (even bacon…YES BACON, but in short amounts though; around two strips is just enough), and the list goes on and on. There are more than 40,000 combination of foods that i can choose of. I wouldn’t call this a diet because it doesn’t take over my life; I am still in control, have more energy, a clearer mind, and actually a noticeable increase in happiness!

The Best Diet is Your Own Diet!

Do not give up, having a good body is not as hard as it seems… you just have to believe in yourself. Now, keep your face up and go on.

Double Chins - Advice on Getting Rid of Them

It is common to see a lot of men and women trying hard to make a difference in their weight. It may take some drastic measures to get to the way you always wanted to look, or used to look, but the key is determination.

Everyone will have a place that is affected by cellulite, and for many it’s the chin and neck. Here is how to get rid of a double chin.

The problem with double chins, is that they are hard to cover up. The double chin alone is nothing more than fat deposits that makes your chin look like its hanging out with it’s larger brothers. If you are fighting your double chin, you are likely to be fighting excessive fat everywhere and so starting an exercise routine is a great way to begin. Typically, if you lose weight from such a program, your double chin will lose weight as well. Exercises that specifically target the neck area might also get you good results, so you might consider trying a few of these techniques.

Make sure that you consult with your physician before beginning any exercise program to ensure that the activities are appropriate for your body type and are safe.

The most effective way of reducing fat in the chin area is with exercises specifically for this problem. If you incorporate this into your exercise routine, you are more inclined to get results.

One common exercise that you can do is literally as simple as pulling your head back. By lifting your head as far back as you can allow it, it stretches the neck muscles, which will then work on the fat stored there. So repeating this process a few times every day should result in a noticeable difference.

If you watch classic films, you may see older women slapping the area below their chin with their hand. This is in fact a way of reducing flabby skin and a double chin. While it may seem as though it’s a movie solution, some sources indicate that slapping the problem area causes the muscles positioned there to retract to the strikes, which also gives them energy to burn fat.

Another common way of reducing a double chin is an exercise that can make you look a little strange. To do this, you have to open your mouth as wide as you can and then poke your tongue out as far as you can. While this seems like it could not possibly affect the size of your double chin, you should feel the tensing of the muscles there. This is always a good indication that you are doing something to positively affect the situation.

The truth is that many men and women think that they are not able to return to feeling good about their appearance. They feel that they will constantly be fighting their weight or their double chin. However,But there are many things that you can do to really make a difference to your chin.

How To Get Rock Solid Abs

If you’re reading this you need to be attempting to find away on how it is possible to get rock solid abs. If you are like me you probably spent plenty of money on all those things we see on TV, and in the stores which claim to be the one that will give us the body we need.

Well they never seemed to really do the job for me. So I chose to do a little research, and put together my own plan on how to get rock solid abs. I use my system 5 days every week, and I’ve seen good results from it.

First what I love to do is jog for two miles. Running or jogging is the main key to building your abs. Most of the people think in order to have perfect abs they must do millions of crunches. That is merely a myth. Yes crunches do help, but the most significant factor is cardio exercise routines.

Before fat even begins to burn away from your gut you have to run at least half an hour. So jogging for 2 miles at a medium speed takes about thirty minutes for me. Once I am done jogging my 2 miles I will then walk for a mile, then jog again for my last mile.

So when all is set and done I have jogged / walked 4 miles. Now this might appear like a lot but it’s actually not. Of course you’ll possibly have to build your way up to 4 miles. So start off by doing 1 mile for a week then 2 miles the following week, and work your way up to four miles.

When you have completed the jogging and walking now’s the time to do some abs crunches to assist in building the muscle in our body. This could simply be done at any gym, or right in your house. I suggest that you lay down on a mat to help give your back more support and comfort. To start doing three sets of 20 AB crunches is ideal we don’t need to kill ourselves. When you did that for 1 or 2 days work your way all the way up to three sets of 50.

So this is the plan that I have put together to get rock solid abs, and i have been using this system for two months now, and I now can look in the mirror and see my abs like I always wanted. This is easy to do for anyone, and it works!

Improve the Look of Your Abs With Proven Abdominal Exercises

Your abdominal muscles can be worked on a regular basis, improving their tone. By working your abs on a daily basis, you build muscle and core strength. Many individuals try to improve their abs through diet alone. However, a steady balance of the rightnutrition and consistent exercise can bring lasting change to any mid section or belly.

One of the best ways to reduce fat around your mid section is through a balance of both nutrition and exercise. Diet alone is not effective because in the process you may loose both fat and muscle. In fact, some diets canbreak down existing muscle and therefore must not be done in isolation. Exercise, both muscle building and aerobic are essential for lasting change.

The best type of exercise is aerobic, increasing your heart rate for a sustained period of time. This is one of the most effective ways to lose body fat. A lot of people believe that it has more to do with calories in and calories out. But that is only partially true. By working your body for a long period, the body is forced to use fat stores versus food and muscle alone.

Begin your abdominal routine with a thirty minute minutecardiovascular work out. The key is to vary your exercise over time versus doing the same exercise again and again. I often see people on the treadmill at the gym day after day. Your body acclimates and gets used to this routine, placing less stress on your body and your muscles.

Once you have figured out the best way to work aerobically, it’s time to focus your energies and developing abdominal routines that work deep into your abdominal muscles. There are a number of abdominal exercises you can choose from that can be applied in various ways. Consider exercises that have a full range of motion and can work both your upper and lower abdominalmuscles at the same time.

Exercises that stress the ab muscles and work them from many angles quickly reshape them and improve strength. When working your abs, concentrate your motion on your mid-section. I know that sounds like common sense, but you would be surprised how easily you can over compensate and use other muscles to finish your repetitions. Always focus on maintaining your proper form.

As is always the case with an exercise program, it’s important to eat the right foods that will provide the much needed energy tomaintain your workout and speed muscle recovery. Consume plenty of protein and complex carbohydrates. In combination, you are providing the necessary fuel to keep your exercise routine alive and well.

Anyone trying to develop strong abdominal muscles must first begin with a clear goal of what they want to achieve. A strong set of abs requires attention to both diet, exercise, and abdominal routines. Focus on aerobic exercise that can reduce your overall body fat percentage. Add a nutritional diet that can keep your energy high and ab exercises that work both your upper and lower abs. This is the best way to get results.

Learn how to get rid of abdominal fat quickly with the help of leading fitness experts. You can easily get rid of belly fat with proven nutrition tips and strategies.

Easy Healthy Diet - 8 Useful Tips

A lot of people do not believe in an easy healthy diet, simply because going on a diet is a big challenge. If you are one of these people, then you have the wrong belief because a healthy diet does not involve unrealistic weight loss, strict health and nutrition concepts, or starving yourself to death. It is rather more on making you feel great, giving you more energy, and making you healthier. Lucky for you because you can actually achieve these great benefits through an easy healthy diet, by making careful choices of the food you will eat as well as by not eating foods that can contribute to weight-related diseases like hypertension, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and a lot more. If you want strategies and tips to healthy yet easy diet, read on.

1. Take in enough calories

An easy healthy diet is all about a balance between the calories you take in and the calories you burn. In simpler terms, the amount of food you eat should not be more than what your body burns or uses. The Recommended Dietary Allowance is 2,000 calories a day, but this still depends on your weight, height, height, age, and activities you do.

2. Stick to the food pyramid

Healthy eating is actually a great opportunity to expand and widen your range of food choices by trying different varieties of foods, especially whole grains, vegetables, or fruits - foods that you don’t usually eat.

3. Eat foods moderately

This is especially true in calorie-rich foods. In the recent years, the serving sizes of foods have ballooned, especially in fast food restaurants. A good way to start is to choose a starter rather than an entre, split your order with a friend or diet partner, and never ever order anything that is supersized.

4. Increase the amount of vegetables, fruits, legumes, and grains you eat

An easy healthy diet can be achieved easily through this as these foods are great mineral, fiber, carbohydrate, and vitamin sources. You have to remember though that the foods you should eat must be low in fat and cholesterol.

5. Drink plenty of water

According to some studies, 75 percent of our body is water. This is the reason why most tips and strategies on easy healthy diet never fail to talk about increasing water intake. Aside from the health benefits you can get, water is also a great way to lose weight because water can help eliminate toxins and waste products from the body.

6. Limit intake of salt, refined-grain products, and sugary foods

If you really want to shed those extra pounds, better forget about refined grain products, sugary, and salty foods.

7. Get that body moving!

Without motion, you can never have a healthy diet since physical activities can increase the effect of your diet plan.

8. Don’t rush!

An easy healthy diet becomes even easier if you concentrate, relax, and take on every step one at a time.

Proven Diet That May Simply Contract Your Belly Lightning Fast!

Has it been a never ending struggle for you to reduce belly fat? OK, take just one minute out of your day to read on and find out about a real online dieting system that may simply and swiftly cut back that mulish midsection once and for all.

First things first. In order to permanently and easily lose belly flab, you have got to do it naturally to achieve results. This is the precise reason I encourage my readers to avoid trend dieting ( low carb, low-fat, low calorie, and so on. ). This kind of dieting will severely reduce your base metabolic rate. A decrease in your metabolism is a surefire technique to get “yo-yo weight loss” and your body will STORE fat instead of burning it off! Trust me on this, I attempted those diets before, and ended up wasting my money every time!

Now, the best online diet I have come across after a period of researching is the calorie shifting diet plan.

This diet plan works phenomenally well to reduce gut fat since you won’t starve ( you get to eat 4 delicious meals daily created for you with a diet generator ), you will not get cravings ( you’ll be eating REAL FOODS ), and you will finish up having your constitution SKYROCKET to the maximum top instead of it decreasing. Since your constitution will be running much more stronger, this will ultimately cause you to lose fat and pounds much more quicker, consistent, less complicated, and permanent.

Now when I started the diet, I was at first skeptical since they claim you’ll lose 9 pounds every 11 days. I gave the diet a try anyhow and stopped going from 302 pounds down to around about two hundred and fifty pounds, I got a flatter belly, and lost 4 inches off my waist! But get this one…remember, I was only “trying” out the diet….just imagine the results I would have gotten if i did the diet completely?!

If you have never been to a chiropractor before, or you are not quite sure what a chiropractor can do for you, you are probably wondering what you should expect if you go to see a chiropractor. The truth is that all chiropractors are different though, so your experience may be different than the experiences other people have with chiropractors.

Even though the experience most people endure when they visit a chiropractor may be different than what other people experience, there are still a few standard procedures most people go through when they visit a chiropractor. This step is to help ensure the chiropractor delivers the most effective solutions possible for your unique situation.

A massage is usually one of the most common solutions suggested by chiropractors, because a chiropractor can target specific problem areas of their customer’s body in order to improve their state of well-being immediately. When a chiropractor gives you a natural solution to your health problems, they will likely target the portions of your body that may appear to be misaligned.
